Hi, I’m Hilary. Welcome to my internet. 


Hilary Staff is a Los Angeles-based music supervisor, creative producer, audio paleontologist, and pathological mixtape maker. She is passionate about crafting musical landscapes for television and film that elevate the narrative, evoke emotion, and create unforgettable moments. She began her music career in Atlanta with renowned archival record label Dust-to-Digital where she worked on the Grammy-nominated box set Opika Pende: Africa at 78 RPM, among many other releases. After moving to Los Angeles she worked for Grammy-nominated reissue/archival label Light in the Attic Records. As a music supervisor, Hilary has worked on the critically-acclaimed comedies Corporate (Comedy Central) and This Fool (Hulu), as well as Tim Kasher's thriller feature Who's Watching? Hilary also moonlights with the Harry Smith Archives where she strives to preserve and highlight the kaleidoscopic work of the late polymath/artist/ethnomusicologist Harry Everett Smith.

I began my music career in Atlanta working for the critically-acclaimed reissue record label Dust-to-Digital where my work encompassed a variety of responsibilities: from transcribing lyrics to editing and sequencing tracks for new releases, to researching historical and archival music to conducting interviews of select artists to creating and maintaining label's web presence to assembling and packing merchandise and everything in between. Among the highlights during my time at Dust-to-Digital were working with producer Jon Ward on the Grammy-nominated box set Opika Pende: Africa at 78 RPM, and cutting/sequencing the tracks for The Hurricane that Hit Atlanta. After moving to Los Angeles I worked for Grammy-nominated archival label Light in the Attic Records. At Light in the Attic I acted as Digital Music Manager, Project Coordinator, and Podcast Producer/Host amongst other things. </description>
